Ingredients

4 slices bacon
1 onion, chopped
6 cups cooked beans, (your favorite
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup garlic
1/4 cup black pepper

Directions

Cook bacon until crisp, set aside. Saute onion in same pan until golden, stir in crumbled bacon and all remaining ingredients. Mix well, turn into large baking pan or dish, bake uncovered at 325F for about 40-45 minutes. You can add maple syrup for a different taste, or spice it up by using cumin and/or chili pepper powder. You may want to place some strips of bacon on top and/or onion slices before you bake.
